Its starting out as a 1962 M170 (CJ6) its a military ambulance. The name comes from the donor s-10 blazer that gave up the engine, transmission and transfercase. While pulling the running gear out my buddy and I discovered what looked like a crack scale, because of how little it was and the fact that it was hidden in the engine compartment. Running gear F-HP D30 R- Big Web Ford 9" with Torino ends and Strange 31 spline shafts 5spd manual transmission what ever they put in the 90's s-10 blazer NP-231 fuel injection 4.3 Tires are going to stay really skinny and tall something in the range of a 33" tall. I have the original top with the medic stars and doors so the color is going to be OD green. The rear will probably get a Detroit the front will stay open. The plan is to have a good reliable hunting/camping rig. Final gear ratio will be 4.56. Some pics from over th years ![]() M170 has the giant passenger side cut out ![]() Engine fit placement ![]() Top ![]() Rear end in ![]() Skid plate ![]() Front end in ![]() More ![]() I will be updating this as I go along, next step is to make sure everything is centered and weld it all in. __________________ I ride a BSA I ride the best...I ride a mile....I walk the rest! |

BTW, I love the cj-6 look. They are so much better looking that cj-8's to me. __________________ |

If i do end up getting a winch, the bumpers will stay stock looking. no extra lights/hooks. the spare tire will also sit in its stock location (feel sorry for any passengers). and the power steering box. |

I do have another question though. What is the whole for in the tub right behind the passy front fender? |
